Whenever we feel LOW in life we seek motivation from our safe environment which can be anyone — family , friends , mentors , books , movies , podcast , influencers , therapist etc. Everyone has there own source(s) of motivation so I am not going to talk about it, instead I would be explaining my theory/philosophy about types of motivations. And let you identify/chose whichever fits you best.

Let’s learn theory first. If a box is put on surface and needs to be moved forward — we can either PULL or PUSH it towards desired direction.

Move Forward a Box

My friend is source of motivation for me and vice-versa is true. However the way in which we motivate each other is quite different. When I need to be PULLed out of dark, my friend asks me to keep faith in the bright future and let that ray of hope drive me forward. But when my friend needs the PUSH in life, I keep talking about the burden of past mistakes that would hunt him for rest of his life and then comes the inner calling making him move out of comfort zone.
It is important to identify which type of motivation works for you. Say for example if you are a serial worrier and the environment around is trying to PUSH you towards limits , you might breakdown along the process and end up broken forever. Whereas if you are a dreamer and the environment around is PULLing you step by step towards realization of it , then you would be unstoppable.

That’s all for today folks.
Let me know if you liked this Engineer's philosophy. I have few more ;)

I wonder if this love of books is hereditary. I think that's why I find myself into the Books. I didn't chose reading, reading chose me. It's in my genes.
